Top 2 Travel Face Masks

Narrowing my collection down to my top two face masks to take on our travels!? I may or may not have waited to pack my skincare and makeup dead LAST. While it was slightly painful to leave the rest of my skin’s bff’s behind, these two stood out. I chose these to address my top skin concerns as best as possible. Here are the two that stole the show!

Glamglow Super Mud Clearing Treatment

This. Is. Necessary. I knew this mask would be useful, but it has really proven it’s worth these past couple weeks. This is definitely not the most travel friendly option packaging-wise; it’s bulky, it’s in a jar, and it’s not small. But it is the most effective thing I’ve tried at keeping my skin clear. When you’re camping for weeks it’s not always possible (not even close) to keep your skin freshly cleaned and the whole routine going. And when that happens, helloooo breakouts. When I am able to, I like to add this step in to help get a deep cleanse and keep those bad boys in check. Because let’s get real – while we have the power to edit those annoying spots out of photos, it’s so much nicer to not worry about them in the first place.

If you’re looking for something a little bit more budget-friendly L’Oréal makes an awesome pink clay mask I’ve linked below. It makes your skin feel ultra clean and is one I use regularly at home! It doesn’t pack quite as much of a punch on breakouts though, which is why I went with Glamglow (and why I’ve repurchased it again and again). I am really excited for their new Starpotion, which seems to have all of this goodness in a concentrated charcoal oil – that could really be a game changer!

Summer Fridays – Jet Lag Mask

I have been waiting on this tall cool drink of water. Since I am currently somewhere it gets below 50 in AUGUST, this is a must-have. Just for reference, in my hometown it’s currently 93 and you wonder why you even bothered to shower when you go outside. This mask is so hydrating and calming! I love that you can just leave this on your face and go (and you actually don’t look crazy). Could this be the most convenient mask ever made for travel??

My skin is normal to dry and unfortunately my eczema has been really flaring up on this trip. I love that this has no fragrance or color because those chemicals can really affect people with eczema. There’s a whole bunch of other good things in it (plus it’s vegan), giving it the green beauty stamp of approval. I can’t wait to see what these ladies have in store next for this brand.

*Honorable Mention*

If I had just a liiiiitle more space I would also be bringing Origin’s Modern Friction. In my ideal imaginary world, I would take a mask for acne, hydration, and firming because those are my top concerns. This is such an amazing firming mask that never seems to get any love. I initially got this as a sample years ago and was blown away. It’s so much better than the purple Glamglow firming mask – and half the cost! Like the jet lag mask, it also gets the green beauty approval. It’s great for travel since it comes in a squeeze tube! This is one of my favorites to do before makeup because it makes your skin feel so tight and clean. I haven’t tried a ton from Origins that has really gotten the job done, but this one makes a difference!
