March Favorites

I know I’m not alone when I say this, but March has probably been close to the craziest month of my life. If you’re having a constant wave of emotions like me, let’s relax together with a little old-school favorites post!

What I’m Loving

Farmacy Honeymoon Glow

The reason for this whole post! I literally have to tell everyone about this AHA serum because it is SO GOOD. I was hooked on this product after a sample gave me the results I’ve been dreaming about overnight. If you’ve been following my journey you know that I started developing some annoying texture, especially on my forehead, about 3 years ago. Since then I’ve seen an esthetician and feel like I’ve tried everything under the sun with little to no results. The Farmacy formula calls out 14% AHA/BHA/gentle flower acids to gently exfoliate and minimize pores. It’s clearly my perfect combinition for baby smooth skin!

I have very sensitive skin so treatments like this often cause more irritation than relief (lookin’ at you Drunk Elephant), but not this guy. It is $58 for only 1 oz – not exactly the most budget-friendly item – but it’s not something you’re going to need every night. I personally use this every 5-7 days to keep my skin happy! I haven’t been using this long, but I have a feeling this serum combined with my Kate Somerville cleanser (review here!) is going to give me my best skin ever.

Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter

I’ve been using this as a primer for months now, and I absolutely love it. Since I’ve had more confidence in my skin this month, I’ve just been using this product on it’s own! Yup, NO foundation guys. I have a feeling this is going to be my go-to in the warmer months. It’s super light-weight, evens out my skin tone, and gives a healthy glow! If you’re into that no-makeup makeup, this is a good place to start.

Milk Kush Mascara

I haven’t been this into a mascara since the Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir, but y’all – Milk did that. If you do not like a clumpy, super black, volumizing mascara, this is not for you. If you have little baby eyelashes like me and want them to actually be visible, this is the ticket. Added bonus – it doesn’t bleed or flake!

Scott Barnes Face Palettes

Last year I bought the three SB face palettes the second I could get my hands on them and haven’t looked back. I think the Chic Cheek palette is my number one because it’s such a long-wearing pigmented blush formula. The colors are so stunning and the Glowy and Showy Amplifiers have pretty much replaced my long-time favorite, Lancome Absolue Powder. The contour palette has everthing you could need for face and brows and the highlight palette is beaming. The shade Candlelight is a total dupe for the limited edition Sand Castle Killawatt Foil that Fenty released last holiday season!

Tatcha Kissu Lip Mask

You could say I’ve been on a bit of a lip mask kick lately! Recently I’ve tried out some from Laneige, Tarte, and Hourglass, but the Tatcha formula takes the cake. If you’re looking for some quality quarantine self-care, this is a good one to add to your routine!

What I’m Eyeing

I’m definitely NOT going to be buying anything during this super uncertain fun time of no income, but it never hurts to look.. right? At the beginning of this year I decided I wanted to focus on not picking up the next cool thing all the time and use up what I’ve already got. I HIGHLY recommend muting Trendmood if you’re also on a low-buy jouney this year. Of course, occasionally I’ve got to see what’s going on. Here’s what’s got my attention recently!

Artist Couture Supreme Nudes Collection

Ohmygoodness this collection is so gorgeous! Obviously, Artist Couture can do no wrong, but this new palette and the creamy brown nudes are calling my name. This seems like such a great staple and travel palette. I haven’t tried AC shadows yet, but I’ve heard nothing but good things about this formula!

Melt Cosmetics Rust Palette

I kind of don’t love that Melt is getting away from their og stacks, but I guess you get more for your money, so that’s good? Honestly, all of their drops recently have looked gorgeous, but expanding on this favorite is definitely the move. I get so much inspiration from @atleeey on instagram and her 3 looks with this palette solidified my need for it.

Tatcha Liquid Silk Canvas

I mean I love Tatcha and I love the original silk canvas, so this has to be great! If you’ve tried it out, let me know what you think!

A Good Sunscreen

It’s about that tiiiime. I’ve been so ready to get outside and while rooftop season is going to be put off a little longer with this craziness, I’m still looking foward to it! Got a little sunburned on my walk the other day which got me thinking about this. I’m eyeing the new Supergoop Glowscreen or maybe the Murad Essential-C? What are your favorites?

What are you focusing on this April? It appears I’m going to be stuck at home for the foreseeable future, so I’m planning on going through some face masks and getting creative with the Sugarpill Fun Size palette! Stay sane out there!
